Aegis is a personal AI assistant hub for apps, devices, agents, automation, memory, and evidence.

What Aegis Is

Aegis is an owner-first AI assistant hub. You give it a goal, question, task, file, or operational request; Aegis plans with a real AI provider, executes through explicit tools or nodes, follows up, and keeps evidence you can review.

It is not a keyword bot, a dashboard-only product, or a command-line toolkit with a nicer label. The product shape is:

Install

Use the public installers from HaloForgeAI/aegis-release for macOS Apple Silicon or Windows x64.

Connect

Aegis Core is the stateful runtime. Native apps, channels, and agent plugins connect to Core with scoped tokens.

Use

Chat is the natural-language action surface. Workbench shows tasks, tool calls, approvals, and evidence.

Verify

Important actions leave run, tool, provider, approval, device, and artifact evidence.

Primary Surfaces

Desktop app	Start or stop Core, inspect health, manage Local Gateway, use Chat and Workbench, pair mobile devices.
Mobile app	Chat on the go, review tasks, approve sensitive actions, receive notifications, capture share/voice/location context.
CLI	Operator automation, diagnostics, readiness checks, scripted workflows, and AI-agent control.
Channels	Telegram, WeCom, webhooks, recovery notifications, and message callbacks.
Agent plugins	Codex, Claude Code, or MCP clients that operate Aegis through the same Core and evidence model.

Current Public Release

The current public release line is v0.1.2 in HaloForgeAI/aegis-release. Internal source builds may be newer; this public manual separates release-ready user paths from development evidence.
